Dr. Taleh Yusifov, the head of the "Cellular Signal Transduction" laboratory at the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, has been invited to collaborate on research for a period of 3 months as part of the "Visiting Professor" program at the University of California in Los Angeles under the supervision of Prof. Riccardo Olcese in the "molecular medicine" section. Taleh Yusifov has already presented a lecture titled "Heme-dependent modulation mechanism in the human BK (big potassium) channel: Cytochrome C model." In the presentation, the mechanism of modulation of the cell potassium channel by "Heme" was introduced, and collaborative research prospects with the Institute of Biophysics were discussed. The presentation was very well-received during the discussion, emphasizing the significance of this direction. Currently, Taleh Yusifov continues his research activities in Prof. Riccardo Olcese's laboratory.
