A scientific seminar on "Non-coding driver mutations of cancer" will be held at the Institute of Biophysics

On March 6, 2024, at 14⁰⁰, a scientific seminar on "Non-coding driver mutations of cancer" will be held at the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the seminar, Dr. Ilham Shahmuradov, the head of the Integrative biology laboratory of the Institute of Biophysics and a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, will deliver a speech.

Those interested are invited to participate in the seminar.

The main topics to be discussed in this seminar are as follows:

• Genetic basis of cancer: general principles;

• Cancer genes and their classification;

• Non-coding driver mutations and their distribution across the genome;

• Promoter mutations and cancer;

• Conclusions.
