A memorandum of cooperation between the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS and the Khazar University was signed

On January 24, 2019, Director of the Institute of Biophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Oktay Gasimov met with Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova Vice-Rector for Research of the Khazar University.

The Deputy Director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Biophysics, Doctor of Biological Sciences Karim Gasimov, Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, an active member of ANAS, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Vagif Abbasov, genetics specialist of the Department of Biological Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Javid Ojaghi participated at the meeting as well.

The purpose of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two parties.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to joint research and other common projects between the University of Khazar and the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.

Director of the Institute, Professor Oktay Gasimov spoke about the importance of signing the document, stressing that this cooperation will give impetus to the development of relations between the two parties.  He expressed confidence in achieving good results in the framework of cooperation.

Then, the Vice-Rector for Research of the Khazar University, Irada Khalilova, spoke, that she pleased to bring the partnership with the Institute of Biophysics.  She noted that besides the expansion of ties between the two parties, the memorandum will also stimulate the development of education and science.

In conclusion, between two structures signed a memorandum of cooperation.  The document was signed by Professor Oktay Gasimov and Associate Professor Irada Khalilova.

The memorandum will serve as an exchange of experience between the parties.

Establishment of the working group of experts in the execution of arrangements between the parties is planned.
