On October 18, 2019, at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, an educational seminar on “CRISPR gene editing and future perspectives” was held.
The seminar was opened by the Deputy Director on Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Biophysics, Ph.D. in Biological sciences Karim Gasimov, who then gave word to scientist of the Zanjan Medical University Dr. Saeed-Kaboli.
In his report the professor gave detailed information about CRISPR, history of genome editing, global importance of the CRISPR in medicine, and versatility of the CRISPR-cas9.
At the end of seminar, the discussions around the topic were held and the questions were answered.
