The regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held

On February 18 a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.

Correspondent member of ANAS, Professor Oktay Gasymov opened the meeting with the introductory word and informed Council members with the issues on the agenda.

At the meeting the issue of announcing competition for filling vacant positions at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was considered.

Then the issue of nominating candidate from the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS based on awarding women who distinguished by their scientific and social activities by the administration of ANAS on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8 was discussed. By the unanimous decision of the Council members Scientific secretary of the İnstitute of Biophysics, Ph.D. in Biology, associate professor Florida Mehraliyeva was nominated.

At the end, some current issues were discussed.
