On February 2, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.
General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Oktay Gasimov opened the meeting organized in accordance with the quarantine rules and informed Council members with the issues on the agenda. He noted that the agenda of the Scientific Council includes a discussion of the comprehensive research plan of the institute for 2021 and other important issues.
Then O. Gasimov presented the main scientific directions of the institute and a comprehensive research plan for 2021. He noted that this year it is planned to carry out research work on the topics “Relationships between structure-dynamics-function in proteins and cell systems” and “Molecular and genetic basis of the structural-functional features of cell-environmental relations”. Taking into account some changes and proposals, the topics were discussed and approved by the Council members.
Then other issues on the agenda, including partial changes in the composition of the Scientific Council, further improvement of the structure of the institute were also considered. Relevant decisions have been made on the issues.
The head of the laboratory of the National Center of Oncology, Ph.D. in Biology Leila Melikova, head of the laboratory of the Institute of Biophysics, corresponding member of ANAS Ilham Shahmuradov and others took part in the discussions.
