The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held

On June 2, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.

The meeting was opened by the general director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov, who informed the members Council members about the issues on the agenda.

The Chairman of the Scientific Council, Professor Oktay Gasimov, referring to the speech of the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, at the meeting of the General Meeting of the Academy on May 27, 2021, noted that the research conducted by our scientists should cover priority areas and correspond to the trends in the development of modern science. The scientist stressed the importance of further expansion of research that can contribute to the development of Azerbaijani science.

Then the issue of publishing the first part of the book “Molecular Cell Biology ” translated by the Executive Director of the Institute of Biophysics Dr. Biology Karim Gasimov was discussed. It was decided to give a petition to the Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences.

In conclusion, the discussion of the dissertation work of the second-year master student of the Institute of Physics of ANAS Sevda Mahmudova was held. It was decided to allow the applicant to defend her dissertation.
