The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held

On July 7, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.

The meeting was opened by the general director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov, who informed the Council members about the issues on the agenda. He noted that by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 11, 2021, the Institute of Biophysics was authorized to prepare doctoral students.

Then the programs in the specialties “biophysics”, “biochemistry”, “mathematical biology, bioinformatics” related to the admission and passing of the minimum examinations of doctoral students and dissertants for the preparation of doctors of philosophy were discussed, and a decision was made to raise a petition to the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Then the individual work plans of doctoral students and dissertants who entered the Institute of Biophysics in accordance with the admission plan for the preparation of doctoral students and dissertants for 2020/2021 were discussed and approved.

The next issue on the agenda was a letter received from the “Scientific Council on Science, Education and Technology ” of ANAS, on June 23, 2021. Speaking on this issue, the Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Biophysics, Ph.D. in Biology Florida Mekhraliyeva informed Council members about the tasks arising from the document.

In conclusion, the report of the Institute’s researchers on the work done in the first half of the year on the approved activity plan for 2021 was discussed and relevant instructions were given.
