A meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held

The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.

The meeting was opened by the general director of the institute, a corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov, who informed the Council members about the issues on the agenda.

First of all, the Council members discussed in the specialty and specialization in the Master’s degree curriculum of Higher Education in the specialty “Biophysics” at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.

At the meeting, the program and syllabuses of the subjects allocated to the specialty and specialization intended for the first semester in the Master’s degree curriculum of Higher Education on the specialty “Biophysics” at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS were discussed and approved.

Then, the issue of appointing scientific supervisors of master’s students who entered at the Institute of Biophysics in accordance with the admission plan for the preparation of undergraduates of ANAS for the 2021/2022 academic year and approving their dissertation topics was considered. Speaking on the issue, Professor Oktay Gasimov gave relevant instructions to scientific supervisors for the preparation of undergraduates at a high level at the Institute of Biophysics.

The next issue on the agenda was the discussion of the activities to be carried out at the institute on the relevant items of the “Action Plan of the Working Group on technology and innovation of the Commission on Business Environment and international ratings for 2021” mentioned in the letter of ANAS dated August 11, 2021 No. 01-6/626. The relevant decision was made after the issue was discussed.

In conclusion, the admission plan of Master’s degree program of ANAS for the 2022/2023 academic year was discussed. It was decided that places in the specialties “Biophysics” and “Biochemistry” will be reserved for the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.
