At the Institute of Biophysics an event dedicated to September 27-Memorial Day was held

At the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, an event dedicated to September 27—Memorial Day was held.

First, the administration and staff of the Institute of Biophysics visited the second Alley of Shahids, laid flowers at the graves of our heroes who died for the freedom of our lands. 

The event, which continues at the Institute of Biophysics, began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who died for the freedom of our Motherland. The general director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov noted that in the Patriotic War, which lasted from September 27 to November 10, 2020, the courageous Azerbaijani army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, having liberated our ancient lands from the enemy, which had been under occupation for almost 30 years, demonstrated to the whole world the unity of the Azerbaijani people, their determination to fight for the right, the power of our national army. He added that the younger generation will grow up as representatives of victorious people.

Then the Head of the Department for Documentation of the Institute of Biophysics, Chairman of the Women council Asmer Mammadova, senior researcher of the laboratory “Ecological Biophysics”, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, Ph.D. in Biology, Ruhiyya Guliyeva made a report and spoke about the heroism of our army, about the unity demonstrated by our people in the war that began under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and lasted 44 days, and expressed their deep respect to our soldiers and officers, all the martyrs who gave their lives for the Motherland.

At the end of the event, Professor Oktay Gasimov wished God’s mercy to our martyrs who showed courage and heroism in liberating our lands from occupation.
