Institute of Biophysics held a commemoration event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of January 20 tragedy

An event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the tragedy on January 20 was held at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS under the joint organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (New) and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute.

First, the memory of the victims of the tragedy was honored with a minute of silence.

At the event, the engineer of the Laboratory of Structure, Dynamics and Function of Biomolecules of the Institute Aytaj Mammadova made a report about the bloody events that took place in Baku on January 20, 1990. Young scientist noted that the events of January 20 are the most tragic, bloody, but also the heroic page in the history of the Azerbaijani people.

Then the executive director of the Institute,  Dr.Biology Karim Gasimov, General Manager, Ph.D. in Medical Sciences Azad Abdurakhimov and the head of the Laboratory of Ecological Biophysics, Dr. Biology, prof. Tokay Huseynov shared their memories about the tragedy.

In conclusion, a video dedicated to the tragedy of January 20 was shown.
