According to the decision of the AMEA Presidium dated March 4, 2015, the admission to doctoral studies and doctoral exams at the academy are conducted in English based on the academic IELTS program.

This exam has contributed to the development of young researchers' reading, speaking, and writing skills in English, their independent use of foreign literature, expanding their connections with international research centers, and increasing their access to reputable scientific databases.

Additionally, applicants have the right to choose German or French for the doctoral admission and doctoral exams.

In order to ensure the appropriate assessment of applicants' knowledge of these languages according to the relevant requirements, the president of AMEA, academician Akif Alizadeh, signed a decree on "Improving the quality of doctoral admission and doctoral exams in German and French languages."

According to the document, starting from the next admission and the current winter exam session, applicants to AMEA's doctoral program must independently pass the B2 level Goethe certification exam for German and the B1 or B2 level DELF exam for French and submit the relevant certificates confirming the exam results to the Science and Education Department of the Presidium of AMEA.
