Science Day will be celebrated at a high level in our country

As is known, with the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated April 9, 2018, Science Day was established in the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the Decree, it was decided that this significant day would be celebrated every year on March 27.

In 2019, for the first time in the country, in order to hold Science Day at a high level, the Council for the Coordination of Scientific Research of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted an Action Plan. According to the Action Plan, a series of events will be held in scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS, including in the Lankaran and Sheki Regional Scientific Centers. The plan includes conferences, seminars, lectures, roundtables, open door days, exhibitions, as well as meetings between scientists and students on current scientific problems.

Additionally, scientists who have distinguished themselves in science will be awarded Honorary Certificates by the scientific divisions, scientific institutions, and organizations of ANAS, and the winners of competitions in categories such as “Young Women in Science,” “Best Scientific Popular Work,” “Magister-2019,” and other various nominations will be announced by the Presidium of ANAS
