Announcement
On March 5, 2019, at 10:00 AM, the next seminar will be held at the Institute of Biophysics seminar room (6th floor).
During the seminar, Zarifa Osmanli, Junior Researcher at the Ecological Biophysics laboratory, will present a talk on the topic: "Molecular-bioinformatic analysis of the prion gene in buffalo populations (Anatolian, Murrah), molecular study of selenoproteins, and their role in cancer diseases".
The topics to be discussed in the presentation:
- Study of PRNP gene ORF polymorphisms in buffalo organisms;
- Study of PRNP gene ORF polymorphisms in cow organisms based on the existing NCBI database;
- Comparative bioinformatic analysis of PRNP genes in buffaloes and cows;
- Impact of the detected polymorphisms in the studied organisms on the presumed secondary structure of prion proteins.
Interested individuals are welcome to attend!
