Iranian scientists delivered a presentation at the Institute of Biophysics
On January 11, 2019, scientists from Ardabil University of the Islamic Republic of Iran delivered presentations at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.
The seminar was opened by Professor Oktay Gasimov, Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, who introduced the speakers from the Faculty of Medicine at Ardabil University.
The first speaker, Ruhullah Muradpur, presented on the topic: "Combination therapy with Mir-143 and doxorubicin synergistically suppressed osteosarcoma proliferation and cell growth." He provided detailed information on the future prospects of using Mir-143 and doxorubicin in the treatment of breast cancer and osteosarcoma.
Next, Mehshid Damandan delivered a presentation on: "The synergistic effects of miR-143 and doxorubicin and evaluations of anti-cancer activity in breast cancer cells." The presenter offered an in-depth explanation of the discussed topic.
At the end, the Iranian scientists answered the questions of the seminar participants, and the importance of joint research on issues of common interest was emphasized.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the future scientific collaboration between the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, the Caspian University, and Ardabil University (Iran).
