The first meeting of the Scientific Council in 2025 was held at the Institute of Biophysics

The first meeting of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan BioPhysics Institute for 2025 was held. The meeting was chaired by Oktay Gasimov, the Director of the Institute and a corresponding member of ANAS. The meeting discussed the main tasks facing the Ministry of Science and Education BioPhysics Institute in 2025. During the speeches, it was emphasized that the number and quality of research should be increased, and special attention should be paid to publishing scientific articles in international journals.

The Scientific Council of the Ministry of Science and Education BioPhysics Institute discussed and approved the work plan for 2025. The plan outlines the directions for the Institute's scientific and organizational activities and the strategic objectives ahead.

The work programs of the laboratories operating under the Institute and the individual work plans of the scientific staff for 2025 were discussed and approved. These documents, approved by the Scientific Council, are aimed at organizing the activities of the laboratories more efficiently.

The plan for scientific seminars to be held in 2025 was approved by the Scientific Council. These seminars will serve as an important platform for the Institute's scientific staff to present and discuss their research.

The 2025 Action Plan for expanding the scientific and social activities of the GAMŞ (Council of Young Scientists and Specialists) of the BioPhysics Institute was discussed and approved. The Action Plan aims to strengthen GAMŞ's role both within the Institute and in the scientific community.

The letter dated January 10, 2025, numbered 3-29-68/2-40/25, from the Scientific Coordination Council of Azerbaijan was discussed at the meeting. The letter emphasized the necessity of preparing dissertation topics in accordance with established requirements, and relevant instructions were provided in this regard.

The application of Aytac Javanshir gizi Mammadova (Guliyeva), a Ph.D. candidate at the Ministry of Science and Education BioPhysics Institute, for a Ph.D. degree in biology in the field of biophysics was approved through voting.

The Institute's young researcher, Aytac Javanshir gizi Mammadova, was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Science and Education BioPhysics Institute for her scientific, organizational, and public activities from 2018 to 2024.

At the end of the meeting, other current issues on the agenda were discussed, and relevant decisions were made.
