An awareness-raising event dedicated to the fight against corruption was held at the Institute of Biophysics
Within the framework of the "National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022–2026," another awareness-raising event was held at the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was opened by the head manager of the Institute of Biophysics, PhD in Medical Sciences Azad Abdurrahimov, who emphasized that combating corruption is one of the country's priority directions. He noted that organizing such awareness events contributes to the formation of an anti-corruption culture in society and the strengthening of public oversight. Azad Abdurrahimov mentioned that no corruption-related cases have occurred at the Institute of Biophysics to date and that the institute operates in a fully transparent manner.

Later, the head of the institute’s Human Resources Department, Mehriban Ahmadova, gave a presentation on the nature, types, and impact of corruption on society. She discussed the major, petty, political, and business forms of corruption and emphasized the importance of transparent governance and legal mechanisms in preventing such incidents.

The role of information technologies in the fight against corruption, the implementation of electronic governance systems, and the importance of active involvement of civil society in these processes were also discussed during the event. It was noted that studying international experience and applying it in accordance with local conditions plays a significant role in combating corruption.

At the end, interactive discussions were held among the participants, and questions related to the topic were answered. The importance of strengthening the fight against corruption, increasing legal and ethical awareness, and regularly organizing such events was once again emphasized.

The leadership of the Institute of Biophysics plans to continue organizing such events in the future. These events are of great importance in ensuring transparency within the institute, strengthening public oversight, and promoting the active participation of institute employees in the fight against corruption.
