The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has made changes to the "Admission Rules for Master's Programs of Higher Education Institutions and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences."

In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decree.

According to the decree, as in international practice, the Master's admission exam will be conducted in a single stage, which will evaluate the general intellectual level (logical thinking), knowledge of informatics, and foreign languages.

It should be noted that currently, the Master's admission exam is conducted in two stages – one evaluating the general intellectual level (logical thinking), knowledge of informatics, and foreign languages, and the other evaluating knowledge in specialized subjects.

Based on the change, the Master's admission exam will be held in one stage by the State Examination Center in a centralized manner, evaluating the general intellectual level (logical thinking), informatics, and foreign language knowledge of the candidates.

According to the new changes, candidates applying for specialized Master's programs that require specific skills and journalism specializations who meet the competition conditions determined by the Ministry of Education, as agreed with the Center, after taking the admission exam, must take the ability test within the timeframe announced by the Center.
