On October 4, 2019, at 15:00, the next scientific seminar will be held at the AMEA Biofizika Institute.

During the seminar, the reports of the employees of the “Ecological Biophysics” laboratory, Prof. Tokay Huseynov, PhD Ruhiyyə Quliyeva, MSc Sevil Məhərrəmova, and Arzu Aydəmirova from the “Biomolecular Structure, Dynamics, and Functions” laboratory, regarding their participation in the “VI Congress of Russian Biophysicists” will be presented.

The topics to be discussed in the seminar include:

• “Comparative evaluation of changes in glutathione peroxidase and catalase activity during the effect of nitrite on isolated human erythrocytes”;
• “Hemiluminescence of blood serum as an express method for assessing nitrite intoxication”;
• “Resistance of human erythrocytes to hemolysis under the influence of high-voltage electric field (50Hz)”;
• “Analysis of lung cancer biomarkers using FTIR spectra of human blood plasma”.
