The meeting of the Scientific Council was held

On June 20, 2019, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held. The meeting was opened by Professor Oktay Qasımov, corresponding member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, who introduced the items on the agenda to the members of the Council.

Regarding the first agenda item, the Institute's Scientific Secretary, PhD in Biology, Florida Mehraliyeva, gave a general report on the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the Institute's laboratories for the first half of the year. The report was approved by the Scientific Council as satisfactory.

Later, the issue of nominating a candidate for the position of Director of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was discussed, based on the announcement posted on the science.gov.az website on June 11, 2019. With unanimous approval from the members of the Council, Professor Oktay Qasımov's candidacy was put forward for this position.

The next item on the agenda concerned the discussion of the planned actions for the Institute in connection with the tasks outlined in the Resolution of the General Assembly of ANAS dated May 1, 2019, No. 1/1. Dr. Kerim Qasımov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute, presented the list of planned actions for the attention of the Scientific Council members.

In the final part of the meeting, the Resolution of the Presidium of ANAS and the Scientific Research Coordination Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 31, 2019, on the "Creation of scientific councils for scientific directions" was discussed.
