An event was held to mark the 96th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan

On May 10, 2019, an event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's birth was held at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.

The event was opened by the director of the institute, member-correspondent of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Oktay Qasımov, who spoke about the political and public services of Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani state and people.

He noted that Heydar Aliyev made significant contributions to the development of ANAS, and due to his wise policy, significant achievements were made in Azerbaijan in all fields, including science, education, and culture.

Then, the deputy director for innovation and transfer, Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine, Azad Əbdürrəhimov, gave a speech about Heydar Aliyev's multifaceted activities and the work he did for the homeland.
