The Director of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS at Caspian University
On January 31, 2019, at the invitation of the founder of Caspian University, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Director of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Oktay Gasimov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, Professor Karim Gasimov, and Head of the "Integrative Biology" laboratory, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Ilham Shahmuratov visited Caspian University.
The first meeting with ANAS staff took place on January 24, 2019, at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, where a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS, Caspian University, and its "World" school in the fields of science and education.
During the meeting at Caspian University, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli emphasized that this collaboration is of great importance to both parties. In his speech, Professor Oktay Gasimov highlighted the importance of the research conducted at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS and its significance for providing scientific and technical support to the university’s students and young researchers.
The meeting was also attended by Irada Khalilova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Caspian University, Dr. Nuru Safarov, Head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Javid Ocaqi, Associate Professor of the Department of Biological Sciences, and Dr. Rasul Muradi, Coordinator of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry.
During the meeting, various issues of interest to both sides were discussed, including demonstrating technical devices in laboratories to students, the joint use of existing devices in laboratories by both institutions, joint development of international projects, participation in projects, and strengthening scientific-pedagogical and scientific collaboration.
The guests also visited the newly established Nanotechnology and Cell Pathology Research Center laboratories at Caspian University and familiarized themselves with the ongoing research.
