A seminar was held on the topic: "Transcriptional Status of Eukaryotic Genomes and Promoters: New Facts – New Concepts.

On January 29, 2019, the next seminar was held at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS.

The seminar was opened by Professor Oktay Gasimov, Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, who emphasized the relevance of the topic.

Then, Ilham Ayyub oglu Shahmuratov, Head of the "Integrative Biology" laboratory, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Corresponding Member of ANAS, presented a talk on the topic: "Transcriptional Status of Eukaryotic Genomes and Promoters: New Facts – New Concepts."

In his presentation, I. Shahmuratov provided detailed information on genomes and genes, genome expression, RNA polymerases, and promoters.

At the end of the presentation, a discussion on the topic took place, and questions were answered.
