An employee of the Institute of Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus delivered a presentation at the Institute of Biophysics of Azerbaijan.

On November 22, 2018, a seminar was held at the Institute of Biophysics with the participation of Natalya Nikolayevna Veyalkina, PhD in Biology, Head of the Experimental Biological Models Laboratory at the Institute of Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, who conducts research on spontaneous and induced carcinogens using biological models.

At the beginning of the event, the director of the Institute, Professor Oktay Gasimov, provided the guest with a brief overview of the institution he leads and the scientific research conducted there. During the discussions, the prospects for further collaboration were explored.

During the seminar, Natalya Nikolayevna delivered a presentation on "Research Directions of the State Scientific Institution of the Institute of Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus." In her presentation, she emphasized that the Institute of Radiobiology is engaged in developing methods to extend life expectancy and improve its quality under conditions of technogenic and radioactive environmental contamination.

Her lecture sparked significant interest among young specialists and researchers at the Institute of Biophysics. Following the presentation, an extensive discussion was held on the topic, and the necessity of continuing joint scientific research was emphasized.
