A regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held

On October 16, 2025, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. The meeting took place under the chairmanship of the institute’s General Director, corresponding member of ANAS, Oktay Gasimov.

The agenda included several scientific and organizational issues.

First, full-time doctoral student of the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the year 2025, Alislam Hashimov, gave a presentation on his research topic. After discussions, his research topic and scientific supervisor were approved by the members of the Scientific Council.

Next, part-time doctoral student admitted in 2025, Fidan Gudratova, presented her research topic. Following discussions, her research topic and scientific supervisor were also approved by the Scientific Council.

The meeting also discussed the results of the attestation of doctoral and dissertation candidates (for PhD and Doctor of Sciences degrees) of the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The results were deemed satisfactory by the Council members, and relevant decisions were adopted.

In addition, the examination questions for the PhD exams in the specialties of “Biophysics” and “Biochemistry” were reviewed and approved by the Scientific Council.

At the end of the meeting, current issues were discussed and appropriate decisions were made.
