A regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR MSE) was held.
The meeting, chaired by the General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), Oktay Gasimov, discussed the admission to doctoral studies for the preparation of Doctors of Science based on the Resolution No. 163s of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 27, 2024. It was noted that the admission of one person to part-time doctoral studies for the preparation of a Doctor of Science was approved, specifically the Head of the Laboratory of Cell Signal Transmission, PhD in Biology, Assoc.Taleh Nasib oglu Yusifov. Both the scientific advisors and the dissertation topic of Taleh Yusifov were approved by voting.
Additionally, the admission to the doctoral program for the preparation of a PhD was discussed based on the same resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. It was noted that one person, Narmina Haqverdi qızı Jafar, was admitted to part-time doctoral studies for the preparation of a PhD. Both her scientific advisor and the dissertation topic were approved by voting.
Then, a report by PhD in Biology, Assoc. Mursal Dadashov, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Biophysics of Physico-Chemical Stress Factors at the Institute of Biophysics, regarding his scientific trip to Turkey from September 3-9, 2024, was presented. Additionally, the report of Junior Researcher Banu Aghamaliyeva from the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry of the Institute of Biophysics on her research at the University of Munich, Germany, from July 1 to September 16, 2024, was heard.
Afterward, the results of the attestation of PhD in Biology, Assoc. R.T. Guliyeva, a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Biophysics, were discussed and approved by voting.
Next, the topic of the dissertation of Sevil Rahmanova, a dissertation student at the AR MSE Institute of Biophysics, and the appointment of a new scientific advisor were discussed. After the discussions, the new dissertation topic of Sevil Rahmanova was approved, and PhD in Biology, Assoc. Mursal Dadashov, was appointed as her new scientific advisor.
Finally, several current issues were discussed.
