On November 29, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS was held.
The meeting was opened by the general director of the institute, a corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov, who informed the Council members about the issues on the agenda.
First of all, the Council members discussed and approved the Comprehensive Plan of research work of the Institute of Biophysics for 2022, the work programs of the laboratories. It was decided to prepare and submit a comprehensive plan of the institute for 2022 to the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences.
Then the new composition of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute was approved. It was noted that Matanat Mansurova, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, was elected to the post of Chairman of the Council, Ramiyya Hasanova, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Structure, Dynamics and Function of Biomolecules, was elected to the post of deputy Chairman, and Aida Mammadzade, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Structure, Dynamics and Function of Biomolecules, was elected to the post of Executive Secretary of the Council.
At the meeting, it was also decided to make partial changes in the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute.
At the end, senior researcher of the laboratory of “Ecological biophysics”, Ph.D. in Biology Rugiya Tahir Guliyeva, was nominated for the title of associate professor in the specialty of biophysics. After the discussions, according to the results of a secret ballot, it was decided to raise a petition to the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for awarding her the academic title of associate professor.
