The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held.

At the beginning of the meeting, a moment of silence was observed in memory of those who lost their lives in the powerful earthquake in Turkey.

Then, in line with the agenda, the results of the competition held among young scientists at the Institute of Biophysics in celebration of Youth Day were announced. Based on the results of the competition, the Chair of the Young Scientists and Specialists Council, a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biochemistry, Matanat Baxishova, was awarded an honorary diploma for her effective contributions to the scientific and social life of the institute in 2022.

The Executive Director of the Institute, Dr. Kerim Gasanov, congratulated M. Baxishova on behalf of the leadership and staff of the Institute and wished her success in her future scientific and public activities.

Later, the results of the winter examination session held at the Institute for the "Biophysics" program were widely discussed. O. Gasanov mentioned that the Institute’s leadership kept the examination process under close attention and monitored its progress. He added that after the winter exam session, a Q&A format meeting was held with the graduate students to assess the effectiveness of the teaching process, during which their questions were answered, and their suggestions were heard.

Additionally, the plans for scientific seminars and advisory meetings to be held at the Institute in 2023, as well as the programs and syllabi for the subjects of the second semester of the Master's level in the "Biophysics" program, were discussed and approved.

The meeting concluded with the discussion of various current issues.
