On October 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, a discussion of the dissertation on the topic "Development of a Diagnostic System for Cancer Based on Infrared and Raman Spectra of Human Blood" in the specialty of 2406.01 – Biophysics will take place at the Institute of Biophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Presenter: Arzu Hatamshah qizi Aydemirova, a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Biomolecular Structure, Dynamics, and Function, and former PhD candidate.

You are invited to attend the discussion of Arzu Aydemirova's dissertation.

Brief information:

The dissertation focuses on fabricating various nano-structured metal surfaces and using the SERS (Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering) method to study fibroin protein, used as a protein model, and blood samples. It also includes the classification of infrared spectra of blood plasma from both healthy individuals and lung carcinoma patients using artificial intelligence. Additionally, the observed changes in lipid fractions and their evaluation in diagnosing lung adenocarcinoma are examined.

Address: Room 602, Institute of Biophysics, Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 117 Zahid Khalilov St., Baku.
