The employees of the Institute of Biophysics were on a scientific mission in Turkey

Rasim Aslanov, leading researcher at the Laboratory of Biomolecular Structure, Dynamics, and Function of the Institute of Biophysics, PhD in Physics, Associate Professor, and Matanat Baxishova, scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, were on a scientific mission at Istanbul University, Turkey.

The purpose of the mission was to discuss the final results of the bilateral project "Assessment of the effect of conformational changes and D-amino acid substitution on the anti-cancer activity of rice bran pentapeptide: Implications for anti-cancer drug discovery," conducted under the Joint Program between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK), as well as to exchange ideas on the topic to be submitted for the 4th project competition between ANAS and TÜBİTAK.

During the mission, the institute’s employees met with faculty members from the Department of Physics at Istanbul University, Professor Ayşen Özel, Associate Professor Sefa Çelik, and the Dean of the Faculty of Astronomy and Space Sciences, Professor Dr. Tansel Ak, and discussed the results of the TÜBİTAK-ANAS (TUBİTAK-118F445) project. Matanat Baxishova presented the scientific results at the seminar. The discussion also covered the topic for the new TÜBİTAK-ANAS project announced on September 15, and confidence was expressed that the collaboration will continue successfully in the future.
