We congratulate Rasim Aslanov on his 70th anniversary!

Today marks the 70th anniversary of Rasim Bakhtiyar oglu Aslanov, Leading Scientific Researcher of the "Structure, Dynamics and Functions of Biomolecules" laboratory at the Institute of Biophysics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Associate Professor.

Rasim Bakhtiyar oglu Aslanov was born on October 19, 1952, in the village of Farzali, Gadabay District, in an intellectual family. In 1970, he graduated from the 13th secondary school in Sumgayit city and entered the Faculty of Physics at Baku State University.

He began his professional career in 1972 at the Department of Semiconductor Physics, Faculty of Physics at Baku State University. From 1974 to 2002, he worked at the Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, in various positions such as laboratory assistant, senior laboratory assistant, engineer, senior engineer, junior researcher, researcher, and senior researcher.

From 1981 to 1985, he underwent training at the Radiospectroscopy Laboratory of the Chemical Physics Institute in Moscow. During this period, the structure of fibrillar proteins was studied using Electron Paramagnetic Resonance after ultraviolet radiation, and he defended his candidate dissertation in 1988.

From 2002 to September 2010, he worked as an instructor at the "Umid" Public Social Support Center. During this period, he conducted awareness-raising work among the population as part of BP's project "Energy Efficiency and Improving Access to Alternative Energy Sources" in the region where the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline passes. In 2015, he was awarded a Honorary Certificate for his scientific work in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Since 2016, he has been working as a leading scientific researcher at the "Structure, Dynamics and Functions of Biomolecules" laboratory at the Institute of Biophysics, and is the chairman of the institute's Trade Union Organization.

He has participated in numerous international conferences and congresses, representing Azerbaijani science abroad with distinction.
