The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan announce a joint competition

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a project competition is announced for scientists from universities, research centers, and scientific institutions in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The applications should be prepared in English by the partner groups from both countries.

Project proposals can be submitted under the following topics:

– energy and energy conservation;

– medicine and medical technologies;

– pharmaceuticals and pharmacology;

– nanotechnology and biotechnology;

– chemical technologies;

– new materials;

– digital economy;

– food security;

– agro-industrial technologies;

– efficient use of nature;

– disaster prevention and mitigation;

– water resources management technologies;

– mineral extraction technologies;

– laser technologies and photonics;

– information and communication and interdisciplinary technologies.

The project duration may be up to 24 months.

The competition is open from September 15, 2022, to December 15, 2022. The project proposals should be prepared jointly by the partner groups from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in English.

The project leader from Azerbaijan should submit the project proposals to the email address a.huseynova@science.az by December 15, 2022, and submit the signed documents to the Department of International Scientific Cooperation of the ANAS Presidium Apparatus (Istiglaliyyat Street, 30, AZ1001, Baku) by December 23, 2022.
