The article of scientists of the Institute of Biophysics published in an authoritative foreign journal

Director of the Institute of Biophysics, corr. member of ANAS Oktay K. Gasimov, and Junior Researcher of the Institute, young scientist Aytaj J. Guliyeva with colleagues from Italy in the framework of the international grant project ANAS-CNR, co-authored the article that was published in the journal of “Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics” with high impact factor indexed in “Thomson Reuters”.

The article describes the preparation of dye‐doped films employing silk fibroin (SF) as a biomaterial, capable of preserving the optical properties of the monomeric dye in the solid state, a critical requisite for optical and biolaser applications. A comprehensive physical-chemical characterization is reported for SF films doped with Rhodamine 6G, an ideal candidate for photonics and optoelectronics.
