The next seminar will be held at the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS

On February 19, 2019, at 11:00 am in the seminar room (6th floor) of the Institute of Biophysics a seminar will be held.

At the seminar, junior research scientist of the laboratory “Molecular and cellular biochemistry” of the Institute of Biophysics Elbay Akif Malikmammadov will make a report on the topic “Modified wet-spun polycaprolactone fibers for controlled drug release, improved cell adhesion, and proliferation”.

In his report, the young scientist will talk about the following issues:

• Chemical modifications made on prepared wet spun PCL fibers;
• Characterization and Surface modification of wet spun PCL scaffolds;
• Immobilization of gelatin subunits and gelatin microvesicles for increased cell attachment and proliferation;
• In vitro cell culture experiments;
• Improvement the cell capacity of the prepared fibers by embedding cell suspension into fibrin matrix that enhanced 3D structure.
