Scientists of the Institute of Biophysics participated in the event “Week of Science”

On March 11, 2019, the opening ceremony of the “Week of Science” dedicated to Science Day was held at ANAS High Technologies Park. The ceremony was attended by scientists and specialists from relevant state agencies and scientific research institutes of ANAS, as well as students from higher education institutions.

At the event Deputy director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Biophysics, Dr. Biology Karim Gasimov and Scientific secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. in Biology Florida Mehraliyeva made a speech. In a statement, it was noted that the main goal of the institute is to conduct basic research in the field of biophysics related to human health. And first of all, such priority scientific directions are chosen that are important for the advancement of science in Azerbaijan. As well, detailed information was provided about the laboratories operating at the institute and the scientific achievements. It was also noted that in the near future it is planned to develop scientific direction in the field of oncology, immunology, electrophysiology and the study of human body fluids for diagnostic purposes, etc.

It should be noted that on the last day of the “Week of Science” in three competitions – “Best Innovative Idea”, “Best Innovative Project “and” Best Innovative Products ” winners will be announced.
