On January 7, 2021, a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held.
Corresponding member of ANAS, professor Oktay Gasimov opened the meeting organized in accordance with the quarantine rules and informed Council members with the issues on the agenda.
Speaking about the work plan and current issues for 2021, the chairman of the council O.Gasimov emphasized that this year it is planned to carry out 5 research works on 2 topics in the direction of “Physical and chemical bases of biological systems”. The professor advised the staff to conduct research in scientific areas that meet the requirements of modern science, to pay attention to the relevance and scientific significance of topics, and also increase the effectiveness of scientific research. He noted that in order to achieve the specific goals set out for the current year, research should be carried out in more priority areas that will contribute to society.
Then discussions were held on the comprehensive research plan of the Institute of Biophysics for 2021. The head of the laboratories of the institute Dr. Biology, Professor Tokay Huseynov, Dr. Biology Karim Gasimov, Dr. Biology Ilham Shahmuradov took part in the discussions. As a result of the discussions, by the decision of the Scientific Council the research plan of the Institute of Biophysics for the current year was approved.
In conclusion, it was decided to present a comprehensive plan of the institute for 2021 to the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences.
