At the Institute of Biophysics an event on “The role of Azerbaijani women in the Patriotic War” was held

At the Institute of Biophysics an event on “The role of Azerbaijani women in the Patriotic War” on the occasion of June 26-Armed Forces Day was held.

The event was opened by the Scientific secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. in biology Florida Mekhraliyeva, who congratulated the participants on the Day of the Armed Forces.

Then the head of the Human Resources department, Mehriban Ahmadova, spoke in detail about the creation and development of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan. She noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev has always paid attention to the construction of the army, the improvement and strengthening of the material and technical base of the Armed Forces, the training of national military personnel. She added that the wise and far-sighted policy of the national leader was successfully continued by his worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev. “Having completed the 30-year occupation, our brave army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War, having liberated our lands from occupation, dispelled the “myth of invincibility” of the Armenian armed forces”, – Mehriban Ahmadova said.

Then the chairman of the Women’s Council of the Institute, Asmar Mammadova, spoke about the participation and role of Azerbaijani women in the Karabakh war. She noted that hundreds of Azerbaijani women demonstrated high heroism both in the front and in the rear during the Patriotic War
