The meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held

On November 3, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Biophysics was held.

Opening the meeting, the Director General of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Gasimov brought to the attention of the members of the Council the issues on the agenda.

The meeting heard the report of the leading researcher of the laboratory “Structure, dynamics and function of biomolecules” of the Institute of Biophysics, PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Rasim Aslanov and researcher of the laboratory “Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry” Matanat Bakhishova, who were on a scientific trip from October 25 to 28 at Istanbul University, Turkey. It was noted that during the meeting with Turkish scientists, the final results of joint work within the framework of the TUBITAK project were discussed and views were exchanged on the prospects for cooperation on the new project. By the decision of the Scientific Council, the report was found satisfactory and approved.

Then the individual work plans of master students admitted to the Master’s program of the Institute of Biophysics in the 2022/2023 academic year were discussed and approved.

In conclusion, the issue of appointing a candidate for the Presidential Prize for Youth 2023 from the Institute of Biophysics was discussed. By the decision of the council members, the candidacy of the engineer of the laboratory “Structure, dynamics and function of biomolecules” Aytaj Javanshir Mammadova was nominated and unanimously accepted.
