Within the framework of the "Science and Innovation" program organized by the "One Volunteer" Student Cooperation Public Union, a group of III and IV year undergraduate volunteer students of the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University, Khazar University and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University met on March 29 at the AR MSE Institute of Biophysics. - They completed their internship on May 13, 2024. During the practice, the leading researcher of the Laboratory of Biophysics of Physicochemical Stress Factors of the AR MSE Institute of Biophysics, Ph.D., Assoc. Sevinj Jafarova and senior researcher, Ph.D., Assoc. Ruhiyya Guliyeva "Investigation of anti-radical properties of samples. Familiarity with the Chemical Luminescence method" and "Chemical Luminescence of the oxidation of erythrocyte membrane lipids at different concentrations of ZnCl2 salt", junior researchers of the Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biochemistry Gunay Aliyeva and Fidan Gudratova "Familiarization with the Electrophoresis method. Separation of proteins according to their molecular weight" and "Increasing bacterial cultures for protein expression", Aytac Mammadova, engineer of the Laboratory of Structure, Dynamics and Function of Biomolecules, "Introduction to the fluorescence device and its application to biophysical experiments", Aysel Aliyeva, junior researcher of the Integrative Biology Laboratory, "Human genome annotation, current situation and problems", and Matanat Bakhishova, a scientific worker of the Laboratory of Molecular Cell and Biochemistry, who also mentored the students during the internship, "Introduction to the Langmuir-Blodgett device. Acquisition and study of monolayers as a cell membrane model", "UV-VIS spectrophotometer, its working principle and application of UV-VIS spectroscopy in biophysical studies", "Acquisition of nanoparticles and determination of their size using Zetasizer" and "Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrometer have undergone various practical trainings on the working principle and its application to biophysical research.
Also, the students are the head of the "Cell Signal Transduction" laboratory of AR MSE Institute of Biophysics, Ph.D., Assoc. Participation in the scientific seminars of Taleh Yusifov on "Molecular-structural basis of the formation of the bioelectrical signaling network" and Telli Mirzayeva, who graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Poland with a master's degree in "Molecular Biotechnologies" (in English), on "The effect of heme oxygenase-1 overexpression in cancer cells on tumor angiogenesis" they did.
