Scientists of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS have been on a business trip in Italy

Director of the Institute of Biophysics, correspondent member of ANAS, Ph.D. in physics and mathematics, professor Oktay Gasimov and deputy director on innovation and transfer of the Institute of Biophysics, Ph.D. in medical sciences Azad Abdurakhimov were in a business trip in Milan, Italy.

Institute of Biophysics of ANAS is working on the bilateral grant project “EPR, FT-IR, Confocal Raman and NMR spectroscopies aimed at elucidation of structural and photophysical properties of biomaterials” within the framework of cooperation with CNR (Italy). The article has been published in the peer-reviewed journal on this project (Ragona L, Gasymov O.K, Guliyeva A.J., Aslanov R.B., Zanzoni S., Botta C, Molinari H., Rhodamine binds to silk fibroin and inhibits its self-aggregation, Biochim Biophys Acta (IF = 2.61, 2018, 1866 (5-6): 661-667).

Employees of the Institute of Biophysics visited the Institute of Macromolecular Research Institute of Italy during the trip. Part of the project is conducted under the leadership of prof. H. Molinari.

According to the grant agreement, the results of the research carried out by both sides and future plans were discussed. Also, the second article has been completed and submitted to the appropriate journal for publication.
