An article by the scientists of the Biofizika Institute has been published in a prestigious international journal

The director of the Biofizika Institute, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NAS), Oktay K. Qasımov, and the institute's junior researcher and young scientist, Aytac C. Quliyeva, along with their colleagues from Italy, are co-authors of an article published in the "Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics" journal, which is indexed in the Thomson Reuters international database with an impact factor.

The article demonstrates that films made from fibroin protein enhance solid-state fluorescence of the rhodamine 6G laser dye. A chemical-physical analysis of the interactions between fibroin and rhodamine 6G was carried out to create high-emission biomaterials.

The successful publication of this research became possible due to the use of the most modern equipment provided by the support of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in the Biofizika Institute.
